Physiotherapy Treatment Physiotherapists are primary health care professionals that have advanced understanding of how the body moves. Physiotherapist are skilled in assessing and treating physical problems caused by illness, disease, sports injuries, work-related injuries, aging, and long periods of inactivity. At Life Therapies of Westboro, we are focused on quality service and individualized care.

Each session consists of a one-on-one treatment in which the individual needs of the client are met.  The majority of the treatment will consist of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises (including yoga), and education on how to manage your condition. On your first appointment, a thorough history will be taken and a biomechanical evaluation will be performed to determine the cause of your symptoms.

Treatment will be tailored according to your needs and may consist of the following:

  • Postural and gait analysis and correction
  • Muscle imbalance assessment and treatment
  • Manual therapy joint mobilizations
  • Therapeutic exercises and yoga
  • Core stabilization and muscle re-education

Tamara Bond-Vlad, Registered Physiotherapist, has 15 years of clinical experience in treating orthopedic and sports injuries. Treatments are always one-on-one and incorporate deep tissue and joint mobilization as well as specific exercises to facilitate healing.
