We don’t have any specific dress code, but a sports bra or tank top and shorts is the suggested clothing for each session. It is vital that our healthcare practitioner be able to properly assess for any asymmetries, structural, and/or postural problems. It’s extremely important to us that you feel comfortable throughout the entire treatment process.
While some of the techniques our therapists use may cause some light discomfort, treatment at Life Therapies is not at all harmful and will not leave you with any long-term pain; in fact, quite the opposite is true. Over time, treatment at our clinic will leave you feeling pain-free. Our team member will discuss each technique and its implications with you prior to application; however any stiffness or soreness from a session usually diminishes shortly afterwards.
When you first visit our clinic, you will be asked to complete a confidential health history as part of your initial consultation. This is important, as we need to know if you have any medical conditions or are taking any doctor-prescribed medication.
Once the paperwork is out of the way, you will have a one-one-one session where one of our practitioners will listen to your concerns, assess your individual needs, and examine any other factors that may be contributing to the cause of the problem. From there, we develop a customized treatment plan with you to ensure you receive the right kind of treatment to get you back to living pain-free.
Life Therapies does not require a doctor’s referral to receive any of our treatments; however, it is possible that your extended health insurance provider may need additional documentation. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to find out what they need in order to provide coverage.
Our treatments are available to anyone who feels they may need assistance with pain management through natural and/or traditional methods. It should be noted there are certain conditions for which treatment may not be appropriate. Our team members are trained to recognize these cases and will work with you to determine the best course of action.
Yes, most employer-based and extended health plans will cover treatment. The amount of insurance coverage you receive will vary based on your specific plan.
