About the Caring & Sharing Exchange

The Caring and Sharing Exchange is a local charity that provides assistance to Ottawa families and individuals in need, during the Christmas season and the back-to-school season.

This year, our Christmas Exchange Program will be entering its 100th season of providing holiday assistance to individuals and families in need in Ottawa. Through this program, we endeavour to provide those in need with either a redeemable gift voucher or festive food hamper so that they can enjoy a Christmas meal with their loved ones. Each year, we receive requests for assistance from close to 20,000 individuals, or 1 in every 50 members of our community!

The backbone of Caring & Sharing is our Co-ordination Service, which organizes the even distribution of school essentials and Christmas assistance so that every donor dollar can reach even more people in need.
