Sarah is a graduate of the Registered Massage Therapy Program at Algonquin College. She is committed to the health and well being of her clients and uses her compassionate, strong, and direct touch to achieve positive effects. As an avid runner and cyclist herself, she understands the mental, physical, and emotional aspects of being active, as well as sport-related injuries. She has completed eight marathons and several half marathons and triathlons.
Sarah is passionate about women’s health and has a lot of experience with pre and post-natal care. She has a background working with women through all stages of pregnancy and has begun her training as a Doula.
Sarah has extensive experience in trigger point therapy, deep tissue and scar tissue massage. She encourages her clients to be active participants in their healing process. As well, Sarah is certified in Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage Therapy and Hot Stone Therapy, which provides for a deep, relaxing massage to soothe tight and aching muscles.
Additionally, her experience working as a Certified Yoga Teacher and Spinning Instructor, has allowed her to assist her clients with breath work, while also gaining an awareness of their posture and strength.
Prior to becoming an RMT, Sarah completed her Masters in Communications and International Development at Royal Roads University in Victoria and worked locally and internationally in this field before discovering her true passion in massage therapy and mind body wellness. Sarah has taught several courses in the Massage Therapy Program at Algonquin College.
