Certified Laser Therapist
Sarah Martins has been a Registered Physiotherapist since 2002. She spent the first 5 years of her career working between acute care and cardiac rehab at a Brazilian hospital. She then dedicated herself to teaching physiotherapy students at a Brazilian University for another 5 years.
In 2011, Sarah moved to Canada and began working in the field of Orthopedics in private practice. She has a whole body assessment approach with the goal to determine the main source of your physical issue. Sarah firmly believes in client education and will do everything in her power to give you tools and strategies, working with you to achieve your specific rehab goals.
Sarah has taken numerous post-graduate courses. She is trained in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Dry Needling, Acupuncture, Bonefit (for Osteoporosis), GLA:D (for hip and knee arthritis) and Manual Therapy Techniques for the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand.
She is committed to lifelong learning and continues to provide her clients with the most efficient and up-to-date treatments. As a Certified Bioflex Laser Therapist she looks forward to discussing laser treatment options with you.
When not working, she loves to spend time with her friends and family, including her two dachshunds. She follows many sports and enjoys travelling and hiking. Her new challenge is to learn how to curl. She is also a proud volunteer of the Canadian Dachshund Rescue of Ontario.
