Registered Massage Therapist
Katrina is a 2015 graduate of Algonquin College’s Massage Therapy program and transitioned from administrative assistant to Registered Massage Therapist within the Life Therapies team shortly thereafter. Her interests are focused on the optimization of clients’ health through use of manual therapy.
She has worked with developmentally challenged children, injured athletes, and individuals afflicted with chronic pain. Katrina has experience using massage in a hospital setting which includes treating individuals recovering from traumatic medical interventions such as amputations and life threatening illnesses. Her background also includes working with clients affected by scars.
In practice, she uses a regime of assessment, massage therapy, and remedial exercises to help address pain associated with repetitive stress and poor biomechanics. Katrina enjoys focusing on helping individuals determine underlying causes of muscular and articular issues in order to eliminate the cause and help clients to build strong foundations of health and wellness.
Outside of Life Therapies, Katrina also works at a veterinarian hospital where she can foster her love of animals. She also works with charities across Ottawa to help promote positive touch amongst women’s and children’s shelters, and helping find forever homes within animal rescues.
Katrina is excited to work with you in achieving balance and overall wellness. If you would like to book with Katrina, please call Life Therapies to schedule your appointment or click below to reserve your massage therapy session online.
