Kinesiology

Kinesiology is the study of human movement and performance.  It looks at biomechanical principles as they relate to sports, work, exercise, and activities of daily living.  Kinesiologists are experts in understanding how and why the body moves.  Individuals who work with Kinesiologists include high-performance athletes, people suffering chronic injuries or disease, or those interested in improving their overall physical health and wellbeing.

A Kinesiologist can allow you to reach your goals in the area of human movement and performance.  These may include rehabilitation, ergonomics, education, sport specific training, weight loss, and general health and wellness. This is done by understanding your needs, developing a plan of action, and implementing the individualized exercise program.

Elliot Vlad completed a bachelors degree in Kinesiology from St. Francis Xavier University in 2000.  His experiences include working with athletic teams such as the Ottawa Rough Riders, Ottawa Links, Varsity sports including football, hockey, rugby, basketball and soccer.  In addition Elliot has work with National and Olympic Athletes from gymnastics, running, and cycling.
